Walking with Mountain gorillas in Bwindi could be your dream come true with this amazing tour packages
14 day walk with gorillas in Uganda takes you to Uganda’s best wildlife destinations which will include Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Lake Bunyonyi, Lake Mburo National Park, and back to Kampala. You will also have a chance to go shoebill birding in Mabamba Bay swamp on Lake Victoria and later transfer to Entebbe International Airport for departure.
As you travel around the Pearl of Africa for the 14-day walk with gorillas, you get the chance to spot different animals as well as plant species within the country. The rolling hills create beautiful scenery and views for unique photography.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Early in the morning, after breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. En route stop in Nakasongola at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. Have lunch en route before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park. Stop at the top of the falls where you will be able to see water squeezing out of the 7-metre canyon. The 43-metre drop creates a thunderous roar as well as a beautiful lining by the rainbow. Later proceed to the booked accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Boat cruise on the Nile
Wake up very early and go for a game drive on the Northern bank of the river. Expect to see lots of animals as well as birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast. In the afternoon, go for the hike to the top of the falls and expect to see animals like hippos, elephants and waterbucks, among others. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After early breakfast, embark on the journey to Kibale National Park. Drive southwest through the Albertine escarpment of the Great Rift Valley and have lunch en route. Drive through Hoima and Fort Portal as you arrive at the booked facility in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking, afternoon Bigodi Swamp Walk
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Kanyanchu visitor information centre for briefing before entering the forest to look for the chimpanzees. After briefing, you will be led by an experienced ranger guide in the search for the chimpanzees. Remember the activity starts at 08:00am. During the search for the chimps, expect to see other primates like the Red tailed monkeys, Grey cheecked mangabeys, Red colobus monkeys and L’hoest monkeys among others. In the afternoon, go for a swamp walk in Bigodi, a home to the Great Blue Turaco and the swamp as well boasts of over 200 bird species which include papyrus gonolek, purple breasted sunbird, green breasted pitta and black capped appalis among others. Expect to see different primates as well for example grey checked mangabey, blue tailed monkey and red colobus monkeys among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After early breakfast, embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park and arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, go for a game drive where you will get to see many animals in the park. Return to the facility for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Game drive to Kasenyi plains & afternoon Boat cruise
After being served breakfast, go for a game drive along the Kasenyi Plains and expect to see different animals like warthogs, elephants, mongooses, spotted hyenas, and on lucky days, a leopard. Kasenyi Plains has a large number of antelopes, lions, and other cats. In the afternoon, go for a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel as you get a chance to spot different animals, like hippos, lying on the water’s edge. This launch cruise allows you to spot bird species here, as the channel boasts over 550 resident species as well as offering panoramic views for photography.
Return to the accommodation facility for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Tree climbing lions-Ishasha sector, transfer to Bwindi
After serving breakfast, check out of the hotel with your packed lunch and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha sector. En route, stop at Ishasha in search of the tree-climbing lions. This is the only place in Uganda where you can find tree-climbing lions. These normally climb acacia and fig trees and rest on the branches, as they also spot animals moving around, some of which fall off their prey like the kobs. This is very exciting and unique, as visitors look out for their cameras to take good photographs. Relax and have your packed lunch and later proceed to Bwindi Forest, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Walk with Gorillas in Bwindi, afternoon Batwa/Pygmy visit
After served breakfast, go for briefing before entering the forest in walk with gorillas. This is one of the greatest and memorable experience as you get to encounter these gentle giants moving in the jungle as they interact. Remember, Bwindi has 12 gorilla habituated families so visitors can visit any gorilla group depending on which sector they have come through. In the afternoon, go for a visit to the Batwa also known as the forest people. Get to interact with them and know how they have managed to survive in the forest for years. At the end of the day you can get to participate in their traditional dance which is mostly done by the women and girls. Day 10: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
After early served breakfast, check out of the accommodation facility and drive to Kabale as you pass through the rolling hills, terraces and round road corners of Kanaaba. Arrive at the hotel relax and have lunch. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi as you enjoy the cool breeze of the lake with sounds of birds nearby. Return back to the booked facility for dinner and overnight stay

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

Day 12: Horseback rides(optional) and afternoon Game drive
This is one of the most interesting activity in lake Mburo national park. Mihingo lodge has seven horses so six participants can take part in this adventure. Return back to the lodge for lunch and later go for a game drive to the salt leak area. On this game drive, you are able to spot different animals such as impalas, topi, elands, giraffes and crocodiles among others. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 13: Transfer to Kampala
Early after served breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Kampala. Enroute stop at the equator for lunch and participate in the water experiment in Kayabwe. This has become a large stopover spot for most tourists to Uganda. At the equator line, a famous water flow experiment shows water spinning in different directions as it drains hence attracting most tourists. It is also a good spot for photography.
