4 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Tours

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our guide/driver will receive you and transfer you immediately to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Our guide/driver will first brief you on what to expect, the drive time and to ensure that you have the right gear for your safari. This journey will take you through small towns along the Kampala-Mbarara highway. You will have an opportunity to see Royal drum makers along the way and small markets. You will have a stop at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe to stretch and take some photographs.  Lunch will be served en route and then proceed to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park for a check-in and relaxation.

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kyambura Gorge for briefing and then a Chimpanzee walk in the gorge. Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge can be a little bit strenuous and a certain level of fitness is required. When you find the Chimps, you will spend one hour with them before you transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through Ishasha Sector in search of tree-climbing lions.

After early breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for the briefing where you will meet guides who will give you guidelines, especially on gorilla trekking. Later you enter the forest in search of man’s closest relatives. Coming face to face with the gorillas is one of the most rewarding and thrilling experiences and this will leave you with the most precious memories of a lifetime. Later, return to your lodge for a hot lunch and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

Day 4: Transfer – Entebbe International Airport

After early served breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Entebbe. Route stop at the equator and later arrive at the airport in time for your outbound flight back home
