7 Days Best of Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 00: Arrival and Transfer to your hotel in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you’ll receive a visa from the immigration division within the airport and of course that may take you a couple of minutes. As you emerge to the arrivals corridor you will be met by your driver guide who will welcome you and drive you to your hotel in Arusha. Overnight at,

Day 1: Arusha Town – Maasai Village
After breakfast, we will drive from your hotel to Monduli Juu Maasai village.
When we arrive at Monduli Juu village, you will first be greeted by the many children of the village who are curious to see tourists. Then, you will be greeted by the Maasai men and women who will dress you in traditional clothing and give you a tour of the village. After getting to know a little bit about each other, the Maasai people will be ready to show you their traditional singing and dancing, and you be encouraged to join them. It is an unforgettable experience at this moment! After singing and dancing, the men and women will join the Maasai to take part in their everyday choirs to see the Maasai’s lives. After saying goodbye to the villagers, we will depart from the village to Africa Safari Manyara Camp for your dinner and overnight stay, all meals included.
Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park
Today we will continue to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Crater View Point. After passing the crater highlands, you will soon see the plains of southern Serengeti. The southern Serengeti plains seem to go on forever, stretching until the horizon and only interrupted by the so-called “Kopjes” or “Inselbergs” (strange-looking rock formations). Dinner and overnight stay will be at Serengeti Narudi Tented Camp, all meals included.
Day 3: Full Day Game drive in Serengeti National Park
Today is set aside for a full-day game viewing and Serengeti is at your disposal. The best vantage points and worthwhile areas are chosen to give you the best possible chance to observe animals and capture the perfect photo. Depending upon the time of year, you have the chance to witness the great migration with hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras in January and February. You will spend another night at your last night’s accommodation. Breakfast; Lunch and Dinner will be provided at Serengeti Narudi Tented Tented Camp
Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, you will travel back to the adventurous trail that takes you into the Ngorongoro crater. Grass steppes and acacia forests are home to almost all the species of animals found in the East African Savannah. In only a few hours of driving from Serengeti NP, you will have the chance of spotting the big five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and leopard. After extensive game viewing and a picnic in the crater, you will leave the highlands of Ngorongoro in the afternoon and travel back to Karatu. You will spend a night at Pamoja Africa Lodge for dinner and overnight, all meals included.
Day 5: Your Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. Plan
After breakfast, you will visit the Lake Manyara National Park. In Lake Manyara, you can also observe elephants, hippopotami, buffalo, banded mongooses and numerous types of gazelles and antelopes. Furthermore, the park is well known for its “tree-climbing lions”. Visitors can regularly observe lions taking a nap in the tree canopies or escaping from the heat on the ground. In the evening travel back to Karatu town. You will spend the night at Lake Manyara Secret Lodge. Bed Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch will be provided here.
Day 6: Walking safari near Lake Manyara
The journey continues to the village of Mto wa Mbu near Lake Manyara. Over the years the village has attracted people from various ethnic groups and the wide variety of backgrounds and ethnicities has created a multicultural atmosphere in Mto wa Mbu. You will walk through banana plantations, see traditional wood carvers at work, visit the local brewery and see local art in the making – giving you a real insight into the daily village life. Lunch is prepared by a community women’s group and served at a local compound. Leisure afternoon or swimming in the pool at Africa Safari Manyara Camp for your dinner and overnight stay, all meals included.
Day 7: Morning game drive, Transfer back to Kilimanjaro Airport
After a short briefing and your luggage is loaded onto the vehicle, you head in the direction of the Tarangire National Park. Giant Baobab trees, the bush Savannah and the seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve. The Tarangire National Park is considered one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants up close. In addition to observing elephants, you will also have a chance to see the beautiful Maasai giraffe, various gazelles and antelopes, buffalo, lions, leopards, baboons and over a hundred different species of birds. After a day of wildlife watching, you will leave the park in the afternoon and drive to Arusha Town for your overnight stay or transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back home.
