Day 1: Arrival & Transfer, Boat Safari -Akagera National Park
On arrival at the airport, our driver-guide will meet and brief you on this 7-day holiday. We will then transfer to Akagera National Park from Kigali.
This journey will reward you with planned en-route stopovers along the route. Feel free to ask your driver-guide questions about the wonderful scenery and even request photographic stopovers along the way. As you arrive at the park, you will check in to your booked lodge for refreshments and lunch. You will then proceed for a sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema with a chance to see the aquatic mammals such as hippos and crocodiles in the lake or on the shores. You will retire and drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning and evening game drive
You will start this day early in the morning after having your breakfast. You will leave for a full-day safari game drive in the park. (Order your packed lunch). You can expect to see the Big Five mammals (lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and leopard), antelopes, and baboons, among others. Akagera National Park is a varied habitat for wildlife species in Rwanda and a birder’s haven with more than 500 bird species in the park.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Following early breakfast, later you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi and arrive in the late afternoon optional boat ride along the lake while discovering the history of the lake or spend the rest of the day relaxing and admiring the lake views.

Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi Exploration & Relaxation
Today you will have your breakfast at leisure before you head out to explore this beautiful lake. Lake Bunyonyi is the 2nd deepest lake in Africa and it’s well known for its bird life as well as a place of small birds.
Later return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning our driver-guide will lead you to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing from the park ranger and begin your gorilla trekking. Every gorilla family is visited by a maximum of 8 people daily. it takes 2 or more hours later and we will return back from the trekking and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park approximately 4 hours’ drive. If lucky you will be able to see topi, Uganda kobs, elephants and tree-climbing lion
along the Ishasha sector, arriving late in the evening for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Game drive & Boat Cruise – Kazinga Channel
Have an early morning breakfast then go for a morning game drive within the park. Anticipate seeing the famous Big Five including buffalos, elephants, lions and other mammals like giant forest hogs, bushbucks, kobs, hyenas and waterbucks. In the afternoon hours, you will partake in a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. You will appreciate the high scores of elephants, hippos, buffalos and crocodiles. Some bird species will also be seen including pelicans and the rare shoebill.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Lake Mburo
Following early breakfast, you will head out for the chimpanzee walk in the Kyambura Gorge and later you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi and arrive in the late afternoon optional Horseback riding in Lake Lake Mburo National Park while discovering the history of the lake or spend the rest of the day relaxing dinner and over.

Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe Airport
Have an early morning breakfast, and drive to Entebbe. In the days before modern Uganda came into being, the area had a series of fiercely independent tribal states. From here you continue with a stop-over at the Uganda Equator for Pictures and Experience. We will be in Entebbe in the evening before your flight back home.
