The best time to go bird watching at Mabamba is early in the morning before there is a lot of activity taking place along the swamp, the shoebills are easy to see as they come out to hunt for the lungfish, birding is done on motorized boats, especially those from fishermen in the surrounding areas, for you to enjoy the trip, one is advised to come along with a pair of binoculars, hat, sun protection cream, insect repellant, rain jacket, long-sleeved trousers, and shirts, it takes an hour’s drive on dirt roads from Entebbe to Mabamba swamp. The swamp can be accessed in local fishing boats/canoes with a local guide. Uganda wildlife education center
The wildlife center is home to several wild animals caged for visit by many people, it was a sanctuary for orphaned animals or abandoned ones in conservation areas originally opened in 1952 by the colonial government of Uganda and commonly known as the Entebbe zoo, it is situated at the edge of Lake Victoria with vast vegetation harboring several birds, butterflies and other species of animals, the zoo reintroduced tigers in Uganda having brought two of them at the premises, visits to the wildlife center can be done all day, activities like bicycle ridding are available onsite, accommodation around Entebbe is abundant ranging from the best budget facilities to luxury.
Entebbe botanical gardens

The reptile village

Ngamba island
It’s one place to find Chimpanzee in Uganda, it is surrounded by the beautiful waters of Lake Victoria, approximately 23 square Kilometers from Entebbe, the orphaned chimpanzee are rescued and placed on the island, it is home to over 40 chimpanzees, the experience at the sanctuary may not be as that in the wilderness because humans have to keep a distance from the chimps. Imperial botanical beach, Aero beach
Entebbe is placed along the Victoria basin, the showers of the Lake have sandy beaches filled with fun events, these include, swimming, volleyball, beach soccer, along the waters are accommodation facilities which offer lovey food while you enjoy the lakeshore as you listen to cool music in the background. Entebbe can be visited all year round, it experiences a tropical climate and receives quite a good fall, its best to visit in the dry seasons of December-February, June-September.
