3 Days Rwanda Tours in Akagera National Park will take you to the Eastern part of Rwanda, along the Tanzanian border. It was founded in 1934 to protect animals and vegetation in three Eco regions Savannah, Mountain and Swamp. The park is named after the Kagera River which flows along its Eastern boundary feeding into several lakes the largest of which is Lake Ihema. The difficult system of lakes and linking papyrus swamps makes up over a third of the park, and is the largest protected wetland in Eastern Central Africa, however, Akagera national park is a home of the big five wildlife center.
Day 1. Kigali drive to Akagera National Park
The drive take (+|-3)hours from the city center, the park is a very thrilling experience as you pass past Rwanda’s phenomenal landscapes and have a chance to see the lifestyle of Rwanda natives. On arrival at Kinigi the park you will rest for a short while and thereafter proceed for the southern lake circuit game drive along Lake Ihema, relax at the hotel with a variety of amenities available. Day 2. Game drive Safari
Early morning after breakfast, we later go for another game drive through the Akagera National Park, game including Giraffes, Elephants, Zebras, Buffaloes, Crocodiles, Hippos. This game drive around Akagera gives you the best opportunity to have a look at the most scenic Savannah grass land Gentle hills that seem to fade into the Savannah that is punctuated by water-bodies and lowland swamps. Day 3. Akagera National park – Drive to kigali
Early morning drive in the Northern circuit. The sight is exactly what you expect, lots of wildlife submerged in the gorgeous nature. Our Driver guide will drive you back to Kigali
