When to visit Tanzania?

Tanzania travel holidays and wildebeest migration can be visited throughout the year, no matter how the weather is! You can be specific about when to visit Tanzania, and it will depend on your interests. For Kilimanjaro climbers, we would recommend you travel in the months of September, December, and February. It will be much easier for you to become accustomed to the weather conditions of the place.

When is the best time to visit Ngorongoro Crater?

Any time of year, you may see species on the crater bottom. However, viewing is best during the dry season (June to October), when the vegetation has decreased and animals congregate near waterholes and rivers. The only positives of the rainy months are fewer people and lower-season lodging costs.

The weather and climate conditions in Ngorongoro vary according to height. It may become rather chilly at night higher up, especially near the lip of the crater. However, it remains rather warm in the wider conservation area. There are few clouds in the sky during the dry season (June to October). During the wet season (November to May), there will be two spells of rain, followed by a brief dry spell.

The Most Beautiful Wildlife Crater The Ngorongoro Crater has some of Africa’s greatest animal viewing. All of the major safari species may be found in large numbers. The resident black rhino population is a fantastic treat, as rhinos are extremely rare to see elsewhere in Tanzania. The crater also has several stunning elephant bulls with massive tusks. Flamingos migrate to Lake Magadi in big numbers.

Landscape

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is breath-taking. Aside from the well-known Ngorongoro Crater, the craters of Empakaai and Olmoti are other spectacular wonders. Flamingos go to both the Ngorongoro and Empakaai craters on a regular basis. The Ngorongoro Crater’s wooded crater rim stands in dramatic contrast to the crater bottom, which is largely grassland. Lerai woodland, a magnificent, atmospheric yellow fever tree forest, is another highlight on the crater floor.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is renowned for its plethora of wildlife and authentic African scenery. It is Tanzania’s first park and a Unesco World Heritage Site. The majestic wildebeest migration is held there, and it offers excellent year-round wildlife viewing. The Wildebeest Migratory Route Every year, over 2 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles travel from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya. You might be able to view far-off herds of both wildebeest and zebra if you arrive at the right time.
